Cosmetic Denervation

Cosmetic denervation is a procedure used to improve the appearance of forehead frown lines, crow's feet, "bunny" lines of the nose, a "gummy" or downturned smile and to alleviate the look of jowls along the neckline. This procedure can also be combined with dermal fillers.

A highly purified toxin (produced by a bacteria) is injected into the facial muscle and works by weakening the injected muscle. After treatment, untreated facial muscles contract normally, allowing oher facial expression to be unaffected. The results are not immediate as it will take 3-4 days to see the first effects, and up to 7-10 days to see the final result. Most results last 3 -4 months, requiring a touch up BEFORE the previous dose has worn off completely.

If dynamic wrinkles (dynamic wrinkles occur when we smile, laugh or frown) are making you look older than you should, muscle relaxation can smooth these out and give you a more youthful and rested appearance. However, this treatment will not improve the more common 'static' wrinkles that are unrelated to facial muscle contraction. Because of this, a combination of muscle relaxation and dermal fillers may be more appropriate for you.

Prices will be discussed at the consultation, as they vary according to each individual's needs.
