Male Genital Surgery

As the result of experience in reassignment surgery, Dr Haertsch - AM, MBBS, FRACS, FRCS (Ed) (MED0000996284) Registered Medical Practitioner: General + Specialist (Specialty – Plastic Surgery) is referred numerous problems with respect to the male genitalia, particularly male circumcision as well as reduction of penoscrotal web and dealing with cases of hidden penis.

Circumcision

Associate Professor Haertsch performs adult circumcision and also deals with post circumcision problems, such as tight scars on the frenulum which may have split.

Scrotal webbing

Scrotal webbing is caused by a webbing between the penis and scrotum that makes the penis appear short on its undersurface. It may lead to discomfort during intercourse and problems with wearing condoms. Dr Haertsch is happy to discuss the matter and perform surgery if appropriate.

'Disappearing' penis

Quite often as men age and put on weight, the fatty hairy area (mons pubis) falls over the penis which then appears to disappear. This causes embarrassment and also problems with urination. Dr Haertsch is happy to discuss this problem and ways of dealing with it.

Penile thickening

Dr Haertsch uses dermal grafts to achieve penile thickening. Expected results for each individual can be discussed with Dr Haertsch prior to deciding on surgery.
